Patrick Meyfroidt holds a PhD in geography (2009) and a degree in sociology from Université catholique de Louvain in Belgium. His main research interests are land use and forest transitions, and feedbacks between environmental perceptions and land changes.
After working for the Redd-Alert project funded by EU FP 7 in 2009-2011, since October 2011 he is postdoctoral researcher at the F.R.S-FNRS (the Belgian Research Funds).
