• Research Director with the National Fund for Scientific Research.
• Professeur extraordinaire at the Université catholique de Louvain, Belgium.

• Lectures at the Université Catholique de Louvain including currently:
  • LPHYS2162 Introduction à l’étude du système climatique et à sa modélisation. A textbook is available for this course
  • LBIR1328 Climatology and hydrology applied to agronomy and the environment

• Guest professor in Oceanography, Ghent University, Belgium
• Co-advisor and advisor of 40 MSc and 13 PhD theses.
• Member of the jury for 41 thesis in Belgium, France, Switzerland, The Netherlands, United Kinddom, Australia, Germany.

Research experience:

• Principal investigator in 30 research projects funded by UCL, FNRS, the French Community of Belgium, the Belgian Science Policy, several French agencies and the EC.
• Author or co-author of 170 scientific papers published in refereed journals (more than 9000 citations, h-index 51).
• More than 100 presentations in scientific meetings and symposia (a significant part of them at the invitation of the organizers).
• Foreign employments: KNMI Utrecht, The Netherlands, 1998; Free University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands, 2012.

• Participation to several international scientific working groups, including IPCC.
